Benefits of Online Learning
Online learning means learning away from class. It simply means being able to access the learning materials and taking the classes using the internet without necessarily sitting in a room with the tutor teaching. This paper explores the various advantages of taking lessons online.
Online learning gives someone the freedom to learn whatever they want (Stephanie Norman 20-40). One can choose what they desire to learn without any restrictions since all the resources are ready and accessible through the network. There is comfort also in online learning. One does not have to sit in a room and listen to a tutor. One can learn anytime and anywhere and at their own free time.
The cost of learning is cheaper with online learning compared to traditional learning. One does not have to pay the school fees so as to learn. All that one needs is access to network.
It is also cheap in the sense that commuting to class every day is not necessary because the learning materials can be accessed from the internet.
Flexibility of agendas is possible with online learning (Tania Heap 30-50). The time to learn and the duration depends entirely with the learner. One can choose to either learn during the day or during the night without inconveniencing anyone. The learner gets also to choose the environment of learning. He or she can choose to learn from home, in their work places or even in a library. There are no restrictions with where someone should take the classes.
In conclusion, online learning is much better than traditional learning. Despite the fact that this has disadvantages, its benefits are more and it can be done at the learner’s comfort.
