Voting

Over the past decade most of the Kenyan youth have opted out to voting. The most often heard excuse being “my little vote can really make difference however that one vote might actually make all the difference.Total cliche,I know, but it a proven fact.In 1714,one vote placed king George I on the throne of England and restored the monarchy. In 1649,one vote literally cost king Charles of England his head. The vote to behead him was 67 against and 68 for,the man lost his life thanks to one vote.

Voting might seem irrelevant or unnecessary but I believe that everyone who can vote should vote because everyone has an opinion and it matters. In Kenya’s democracy we value our ability to choose who is in office, and revel in the fact that we have a say in what goes on in the political world. And by voting,we directly and indirectly choose what happens to our country
