My phase one journey to motherhood
Funny isn\'t it?? At the age of 22, I discovered that I was pregnant. With no strength to accept or even know how ill handle the situation, everything seemed to be mixed up. I was this young ambitious lady, a model to top it up then this came.Still a student, a third year at Nairobi University So I decided to reach out to my boyfriend who was not residing in Nairobi, this was after I had taken more than two pregnancy test just to be sure this was happening. I didn\'t even had a way of saying this to him since then we were not in good terms, sad it was..So after gaining the courage I called him severally but no one received. I texted him that there was an important information I was going to tell him. After about thirty minutes, he called. I told him about our expected baby. Yes I was expectant. He was supportive and insisted that he was ready for the responsibilities and so I made a choice to keep the pregnancy, though confused and even the thought of how my parents would react ate me up, especially my mum. Only God knows what would be the outcome of all this. I thank God I had close and reliable friends who kept me going.Big up to Christine, Janet and Rahab, what would I have done without you guys??? And the real and tough journey was now beginning, it was not easy at all.
